Making a big pile of treats? You can opt for food safe ink and some cute stamps for quicker decoration.
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350º
Combine all ingredients and divide dough into 4 equal portions.
Add food coloring to each section to make your preferred colors.
Roll out each color and cut out your hearts. We made lots of tiny hearts for easy treating, and a few bigger treats to ice and decorate for show.
Place cookies on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes or until just starting to brown on the bottom.
Cool completely before icing, writing, or stamping your designs.
When cookies are cool, you can follow the package directions on the Fido Icing, then allow to dry completely before writing your inscription. This will be 8 hours to overnight if your icing is thick. Life Hack: Pop them in your dehydrator with the fan blowing but no heat to help remove moisture.
Happy Valentine's Day to all of the "Furry" Valentines out there!
